PLATINUM SKIES LIVING LTD

The day to day operations of Platinum Skies is managed by the Chief Executive Officer, David Hines. Platinum Skies also has a Group Board, a body of people who ensure that the organisation is working correctly. Our Group Chairman is Bill Yardley.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

David Hines

Chief Executive, Platinum Skies

David has over 30 years of property experience in the residential, retirement and commercial sectors. A member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, he has been a Governor of Bournemouth University since 2007.

Formerly, David was National Head of Residential Development for Savills Plc, where he managed 20 regional businesses throughout the UK.

Arlene Keenan

Chief Financial Officer, Platinum Skies

Arlene joined in 2015, following 16 years at Euromoney Institutional Investor Plc, where she worked across a number of their businesses in the UK and overseas, most recently, as COO/CFO for their Capital Markets Group.

Prior to that she was an Audit Manager at KPMG in London, focusing on financial clients. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ireland, Arlene is also a member of the Institute of Taxation.

Bill Yardley

Chairman, Platinum Skies Living Ltd

Bill is currently Vice Chairman of Orbit Living, a provider of affordable homes and a Non-Executive Director at the Houses of Parliament.

Previously, Bill held Director level appointments in both the private sector and in government; a Non-Executive Director at Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch NHS Foundation Trust, a member of the Government Construction Board, a Crown Representative, a Public Member of Network Rail and a Governor of the University of Chichester.

Dr Stephen Tomkins

Head of Clinical Advisory Board

As a practicing GP, Stephen has established himself as one of the leading clinicians in his profession. He runs an exceptional practice, whilst instilling good ethical clinical care as the bedrock of its success.

As a Program Director for Bournemouth University, Stephen educates doctors to become GP’s. In addition, he represents his county as a Clinical Chair on the Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group.

His role within Platinum Skies, ensures both the focus and delivery of clinical excellence standards.

John Beesley

Non-Executive Director, Platinum Skies Living Ltd

With considerable knowledge of the work and function of the public sector, John has experience of how to bring forward an ambitious development strategy, focused on prioritising the housing agenda across all tenures; building or enabling more affordable housing, the provision of homes for local people and taking measures to improve standards throughout the sector.

A Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, John is an accomplished hotelier and hospitality consultant specialising in all areas of management, planning and hotel development.

Gerald Parkes

Non-Executive Director, Platinum Skies Living Ltd

Gerald is a real estate investment and finance veteran who has pioneered several cross border businesses in both the investment management and real estate finance fields. He has also been a leader in building the Urban Land Institute in Europe, has a long involvement with his alma mater, Cambridge University and has worked with the Government Cabinet as an external adviser. He has lived in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and London.

QUANTUM

The Platinum Skies family of businesses are stand-alone companies. They sit within the Quantum Group, a specialist Property Developer, Care Provider and Investment Manager. Together they seek land opportunities and build retirement living properties.

Achieving value for money and continuous improvement is a fundamental part of our business strategy.

We have an integrated approach to achieving value for money in all that we do.

Governance

Our board members review the efficiency of our work and make sure that we comply with industry standards on value for money. We also encourage staff to question how we operate to find ways of providing a better and more efficient service

Financial

Our budget and business plan includes targets for making efficiency gains and improvements to services. Each department also works to improve how it buys goods and services and looks for new ways to work with partners so that we provide real value for money

Managing performance

We review our performance continuously and check how we compare to others. We aim to be the best for financial strength and quality of services. To do this, our senior staff will review the costs of our activities and identify how we can improve services

Resident focus

We are committed to making sure that residents receive value for money from their rent and service charges. We will involve residents in our decision-making, and our board and senior staff monitor resident satisfaction levels regularly
