Platinum Skies launches search for Sherborne community cause to support


We are looking for a Sherborne-based community cause to support as part of the countdown to the opening of our latest independent-living apartment complex.

New over 55’s community in Sherborne

Mulberry House is being constructed as part of a new independent-living village at the top of the A30 and Horsecastles Lane, which is less than a mile away from the town centre. A host of apartments and houses are being built in Sherborne for over-55s who are looking to benefit from living amongst like-minded neighbours who can socialise together. Communal facilities inside the apartment complex include a bistro, bar area, homeowners’ lounges, activity room, visitor’s suite, and treatment room.

All of our homes have a dedicated onsite Community Manager who organises events and trips for the homeowners such as wine tasting workshops, yoga, dance classes, barbecues, and coffee mornings. Lynsey Williams joined our team earlier this year to provide practical and emotional support to the homeowners and build links with the local businesses and community groups.

Searching for a Sherborne community cause to support

To celebrate the first homeowners being able to move into Mulberry House later this year, we are keen to support a local initiative that benefits the wider Sherborne community. Nominations can be made to Community@platinumskies.co.uk with ‘Mulberry House Community Project’ in the subject line. Submissions must be made by Sunday 12 September.
