Find peace of mind at our free wellness event at Vista

It’s January and we’re offering residents and the public, a fantastic opportunity to learn about nutrition, reflexology and fitness at Vista in Poole. The wellness day takes place on Thursday, January 23 from 10am-2pm.

This free event is open to all and is a mixture of presentations, exercises, tours and all a healthy lunch. Award-winning nutritionist, Carolyn Leigh will start the day with an hour-long talk about the benefits of eating well.

Carolyn is a fully qualified Registered Nutritionist & Functional Medicine Specialist providing unique healthcare and nutritional services for people of all age groups with chronic health and medical conditions. She has also contributed to Men’s Health magazine, Metro and Channel 5.

Platinum Skies, Lifestyle Manager, Phillip Geise will then be leading a taster session for the ever-popular chair-based fitness class. This will be followed by a talk and demonstration on the benefits of reflexology by Tara-Louise Chamberlain of R&R Reflexology.

Visitors will also get the chance to meet the dedicated lifestyle team and have a viewing of the stunning development. David Hines, Chief Operating Officer of Platinum Skies, says: “Vista reflects the needs of today’s retirees, who want to continue living independently with the reassurance that support is available should they require it.

“Just like every Platinum Skies location, the fantastic facilities allow residents to share their passions and interests. We like to have a good time together and this has the added benefit of helping prevent many of the degenerative conditions that can stifle the enjoyment of retirement.”

Apartments at Vista in Poole are available from £150,000 on a 50% shared ownership basis. Our scheme is backed by Government and is regulated by Homes England who strive to make affordable homes accessible in the UK.

The quality of the apartments is paramount and design-led to make living simple and stress-free. The tiered glass balconies and full-length windows allow all the living areas to be flooded with natural light.

Views from many of the Vista balconies stretch across the water to Brownsea Island, Poole Harbour and beyond. These south-facing larger than average energy efficient homes, range from one and two bedroom apartments to sumptuous three bedroom apartments.

Vista also offers a spectacular private lounge with direct access to the gardens, a viewing terrace, treatment rooms and an activity studio. Residents can choose to take advantage of a range of exercise and wellness classes organised by their dedicated Lifestyle Manager.

Mike added: “With a mix of social activities, days out and health related activity, there is something for everyone. We offer sessions such as yoga, pilates and tai chi, all held in the resident’s communal ‘studio’ or out on to the large adjoining terrace over the warmer months.”
